Airplane Cake

I made this Airplane cake for my Pastor's son's graduation. Every trial and error that could of happened.... DID! This cake was supposed to be a cessna Shaped Airplane! With the weather temperatures going up, when I left the cake out over night for the fondant to dry, the heat and humidity got the best of it, and the plane split and the icing under the fondant MELTED!

So with only 1 1/2 days to get this done I had to try to come up with a plan B, and this is it. Over all I think it turned out pretty good, I injected the cake with cheesecake filling, the cake it's self is a basic french vanilla home made cake with buttercream icing.

My Pastor's son was very surprised with the cake and he really liked it, it also served as his daughter's birthday cake the next day (I didn't know her birthday was the following day, so that turned out perfect.)
