bake even cake strips

Do bake even cake strips actually work? Do they keep the cake more level as it bakes and does it help a cake bake evenly? I have two layers for a wedding cake that are 12" and I don't want to overbake to get middle done.

I use them on every cake I bake now, even 8". The cakes turn out perfectly level every time.

I've never used them but wondered myself.

I have been using the flower nail.
I spray them with non stick cooking spray and insert in the center of the cake batter once it's in the pan.
And with a 9"x 13" I use 2 nails.
I've been using the alot. It really helps!

baking strips

They work really well with larger cakes... I use them on anything bigger than 12inches.
