Colorful Sheet Cake Ideas

Bake a sheet cake the size that you need. Ice it in white buttercream icing. Let it set.

Cut out a rectangle the size you need for your message out of parchment paper. Lay it on the center of your cake

Using spray food colorings, spray a strip of red, yellow, blue and green on a slanted angle. Refer to the above picture. Continue in this color order until the cake is covered.

Lift off the paper. Let the icing dry.

Using white icing and star tip, size #18, pipe a shell border around the top and bottom of the sides. Also pipe a shell border around the white rectangle.

Make roses out of white icing. Use green icing and leaf tip, size #352 to make the leaves.

Using blue icing and round tip, size #5, write your message in the white rectangle. Make three dots of blue icing forming a small triangle shape. Scatter these around the roses.
