Carousel Cake

I made this carousel cake for my son's first birthday. I used a bundt cake pan for the bottom part. I iced it and covered it in sprinkles.

Then I used gum drops and animal crackers for the base. I put some icing on the back of the cracker and then pushed it into the cake.

I placed straws for the rails on the carousel and I iced the back of 2 animal crackers and stuck them onto the straw.

For the top I just cut it out of wrapping paper and decorated it. Simple and very cute.
