Choo Choo Train Cake

For this train cake, I made a regular 1/2 sheet cake and iced it. I used sour licorice for the tracks. I baked 3 small cakes using bread loaf pans and cut them to size. The engine was a combo of 3 pieces of cake and each of the pieces was "glued" together using icing.

Then I just decorated each car and the engine! I used 16 and 18 star tips, crushed oreos, skittles - you can use whatever kind of candy you want. Oreos are the wheels. It was great fun to make, as you can see I went overboard with the decorating because I was having so much fun!

It was for a 2 year old and the look on his face when he saw his cake with Pablo driving the train, and Nemo in the pond was absolutely priceless!
