Cream cheese icing

I want to use cream cheese icing for my Mickey Mouse cake, but I don't know if I can add color to cream cheese icing and if the icing is good for decorating...........PLEASE HELP!! I am new at this....

Stiff cream cheese icing

cream cheese frosting

Hi there,

I personally would not decorate the that sort of cake with cream cheese frosting as it does not hold up very well, stick with the buttercream for that one. And yes you can tint cream cheese frosting.

You can color and decorate with some cream cheese frostings but generally they are more difficult that regular buttercream
