Dinosaur Cake Pan...

by Leslie

I am having trouble getting the center of the cake to cook. It is the Wilton dinosaur cake pan. But the recipe I use calls for a butter recipe cake mix and you add sugar vegetable oil cream cheese eggs water and vanilla extract. Could it be my recipe? Or should I lower the oven temp to 325 and try cooking it longer? I also haven't tried covering it with foil.

First I would try using a boxed mix where you add eggs, oil and water and see how that works.

Also you can use a flower nail in the center of the cake. Spray it with non stick cookig spray and insert it in the center of the cake and bake.

Remove the nail when you turn the cake over on a cake cooling rack.

Hope this helps!
