How to Make a Really Easy Birthday Cake

Bake a sheet cake the size that you need.

Use buttercream icing and a cake spatula and ice the cake making sure it is nice and smooth.

Use the same white icing and round tip, size #5 and do lace work on the sides and top of the cake.

Change your tip to the star tip, size #18 and make a shell border around the top and bottom edges of the sides of the cake.

Use a large rose tip, size #125 and red icing and make a rose and place it in the very center of the cake.

Make small green leaves using leaf tip, size #352 around the rose.

This also makes a nice sheet cake for a wedding, just make the rose in the center white.
