Elmo Cake

Elmo 1st Birthday Cake

I made a 1/4 vanilla sheet cake. I frosted and detailed with butter cream frosting.

I made an outline of Elmo with a toothpick and brown/red frosting, that I copied from a birthday plate. I used tip # 233 and red for his fur. I used tip #2 and brown/red for fur details. I used Black Wilton Ready to Use tube icing, with #2 tip attached, was used for his pupils and his mouth. I built up his nose (orange/red) and eyes with frosting to make it more 3 dimensional using tip #13.

I used #16 or 18 for the borders and it is your basic "shell" border.

Very simple yet effective.
