How to Make This Fairy Cake

Easy instructions for making this fairy cake:

Bake a sheet cake the size that you will need. With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the fairy princess on the cake top. Remember you can wipe off the icing as many times as you need to until you are satisfied with your drawing. Cut the cake away from your fairy outline.

Using white icing and star tip, size #18, cover the wings of the fairy cake.

Use purple food coloring in the spray can and spray the edges of the wings lightly (refer to the above picture.)

Next, with the cake spatula, spread white icing on the cake top of the skirt. Using purple and pink spray food coloring cover the top of the skirt gown. Use pink icing and star tip, size #18 to cover the bodice of the gown.

With the same tips and purple and pink icings, make dots on the bodice of the gown.

Use yellow icing and star tip, size #18 and cover the crown and star.

Next make a light brown icing and cover the hair.

Cover the face and the arms with a flesh colored icing using a little bit of orange and a little bit of red coloring until you have a light flesh color. Use star tip, size #18.

Using pink icing and the same star tip, make a small round dab of pink icing at the beginning and end of where the smile will be for her cheeks.

Use star tip, size #18 and white and green icing for the feet.

Use the same size star tip and flesh colored icing for the hand that sticks out past the wings.

Note: The feet and part of the hand that sticks out past the wings are made from all icing. The hand is built up even with the cake top level. The feet are only built up to half of the fairy cake side.

Next use black icing and round tip, size #5 and outline the entire fairy princess (refer to the picture for placement of the outlines).

Finally, write your message on the skirt of the fairy cake.
