Fondant on Icing

If I want to make a cake with regular/buttercream icing as the base... can I still make fondant decorations and put on top of that. Would that look ok, even though fondant was not the base as well?

Yes you can, you can use gumpaste or fondant and just stick them on with a little buttercream or whatever frosting you have. I just did a flower cake you will find on the recently cake added. I did mine with some fondant and some gumpaste. I hope this helps you out. Good decorating. Nancy of Rialto Ca
