Granny's Cake

This cake was made by my son-in-law for me!

He does not have any decorating items, all he had was zip-lock bags and toothpicks!

He baked a yellow butter flavor cake mix according to directions in a 9" x 13" pan. Let cool completely.
Then he used the store bought white icing in a plastic can.
He colored some of it black, blue, green and orange.

He drew the pistol free hand! And added the 'holes' to look like gun shots. Very cool touch I might add!
He drew the box at the bottom to represent a box of bullets and used the pre-made candy letters to write Happy Birthday Mom.

He used the toothpicks to get the pattern on the grip of the pistol.

I'm still so excited! He did such a good job!!!!!!

And I'm pretty sure this was the first cake he's ever decorated. What a guy!!!!
