Bake a sheet cake the size that you need.
With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the ghost on the cake top.
Cut the cake away from the ghost shape keeping in mind to use the cut pieces for the tail end of the ghost.
You will use a star tip, size #18 to do the entire ghost.
Make a small amount of black icing and do the eyes and mouth.
Now fill in the rest of the ghost's body. Use a round tip, size #5 and orange or black icing and write your Halloween message on the cake board.
