Hard Topped Cupcakes

When I make my cupcakes I end up with lovely fluffy sponge and a hard almost crusty biscuit like top? I set them on a wire cooling rack immediately after taking them out of the oven and leave them to cool. How can I stop this hardening?

I think you baking them too long and possibly in a too hot of an oven, try baking them in a oven temp of 325degrees also make sure they are in the center of the oven if your oven is electric.
