Can you use Betty Crockers whipped buttercream frosting as a crumbcoat before you apply the fondant?

I dont think you can because it will not stick to that icing since its whipped and not harder like buttercream. If its the sugar you dont like make it yourself and adjust the sugar and flavor as you want.

I'm not sure about this. Are you referring to the pre-made canned icing?

I would think it's too runny.

Try it and if it doesn't work, let us know!

And it'll taste good even if it doesn't work the way you want it to.

I'm not an expert cake decorated yet but I don't see why you couldn't use the Betty Crocker frosting.,
