How do I make a cake that is not fluffy

My husband wants a cake that is not fluffy. He prefers cakes that are more compact. How do I make a cake that is compact and not full of air? LeeAnn Chezem

with real ingredients. Buy name brand ingredients, don't go generic brand, it will take off on the flavor...That's how I do them.

Don't beat the batter as much and you won't incorporate so much air in it.

You can make bunt cakes, or carrot or applesauce cakes, They are all heavy and not fluffy. Even a pound cake and especially if you want to decorate it..
