Hunter's Cake

Hunter's Cake

I used two 9" round cakes to make this hunter's cake. I crumb coated it and then used a light brown to pipe the outline of the deer head, then filled it in with the icing. I then used the darker brown(I had no black) to do the nose and eyes. I used white to do around the snout.

I finally just took the the dark brown, light brown and green and smeared it on in different places on the cake and smeared them together to get the camouflage look. I

used the green to do a small trim along the bottom edge. This was a quick idea for a father in law who likes hunting and only a short time to make a cake with what I had available.
