April Showers Cake

I had this little cake left over from another project and couldn't decide on what to do.

Then a friend of mine said she wanted to try homemade mm fondant. So I did this for her.

It was baked in a 6" round pan.

I iced in light blue buttercream, let dry then used a Viva to smooth it.

I used green buttercream for the flower stems, leaves and grass. Dark blue buttercream was for the rain. The words were in pink buttercream.

The cloud and flowers were out of fondant. I also added edible pearls.

It says on top: April showers bring May flowers
