Mark 's Les Paul Guitar Birthday Cake
To make this Les Paul guitar cake, we downloaded a picture of a Les Paul guitar and enlarged it to make the templates. We used two 9" pans and two large rectangle pans for the body, frosted it with buttercream and used fondant cutouts for the details like knobs and frets.
We made a separate template for the neck and covered it with chocolate bars and used gold metallic cord for the strings. We added the neck on last and propped it up with a plastic cup.
