How to Make a Lion Birthday Cake


Easy instructions for making a lion birthday cake:

Bake a sheet cake the size that you need. With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the lion on the cake top. Cut away the cake from the lion shape.

If necessary, you can use the cut pieces to make the tail and the lion’s mane bigger.

Make a yellow tan icing and cover the face and body parts of the lion using star tip, size #18.

Now make a reddish brown color icing using brown and a tiny dab of red paste food colorings.

Lion Cake Using star tip, size #18, cover the lion’s mane, tail tip and nose.

Use a small amount of black icing and round tip, size #5 and make two dots for the eyes, the smile for the mouth and three lines on each side of the face for whiskers.

Now using your reddish brown icing and round tip, size #5, outline the entire lion, referring to the picture.
