Luau Birthday Cake
This cake is three tiers. The bottom tier (10 inches) was chocolate with chocolate buttercream filling. The middle tier (8 inches) was white with strawberry buttercream filling. The top tier (6 inches) was pineapple with coconut cream cheese filling.
The decorations include a grass skirt, flower lei, my daughter's name, the number 9, and hibiscus flowers all made from fondant.
Everything on this cake is edible. I made it for my daughter's 9th birthday, which was luau themed. It was a huge hit and matched the hot pink and lime green colors in her plates and napkins!
