Mushroom House Cake

To make this mushroom house cake, I made a large slab cake then cut out 3 circles for the base. I layered them with jam and buttercream. I also baked the top in a pudding basin to get the rounded shape. I placed bamboo skewers down the center of the bottom cake to hold the top in place and then decorated as shown in the picture with roll out regal ice.

I used small round sweets for the path. I pressed a new scouring pad into the green base to look like grass and put a 'grass pile' on the right hand side to hold a candle (not shown in this picture.)
