Official Contest Rules
This contest is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. No purchase is necessary to enter this contest. This contest officially ends at midnight EST on March 31, 2010. All entries must be received by midnight EST on March 31, 2010. The winner will be selected no later than April 15, 2010. Void where prohibited by law.
Easy-Birthday-Cakes.com and Wedding-Cakes-Connection.com, its owners and affiliated parties (hereinafter "Contest Sponser") is not responsible for entries not received due to internet access problems, service outages or delays, or any other technical problems. All submitted materials and entries must be original material created by the entrant. You may not submit entries containing store bought cakes or pictures of cakes and descriptions of cakes that were not made by you as the entrant. By submitting any photo or information to Contest Sponser, entrant represents and warrants that the entry does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party, and you have the right to grant any and all rights granted to Contest Sponser, including but not limited to all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.
Prizes: One (1) First Place Winner will be awarded a Seventy-Five Dollar ($75.00) US Amazon Gift Card. One (1) Second Place Winner will be awarded a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) US Amazon Gift Card. One Third Place Winner will be awarded a Ten Dollar ($10.00) US Amazon Gift Card. One (1) Winner of the Best Cake Directions and Description will receive a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25.00) US Amazon Gift Card. One (1) Winner of the best cake in the categories of wedding cakes, anniversary cakes, bridal shower cakes or groom's cakes submitted at our sister site Wedding-Cakes-Connection.com will be awarded a Seventy-Five Dollar ($75.00) US Amazon Gift Card. The prizes carry their own terms and conditions. You may view the terms and conditions of the Amazon Gift Card here. No prize or part of a prize is transferable. No substitution allowed except at the discretion of the Contest Sponser. Contest Sponser reserves the right to substitute any and all prizes with prizes of equal or greater value, if a prize becomes unavailable. Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes on a prize.
Contest Sponser in its sole and absolute discretion will judge entries for first, second and third place using the following criteria: (1) creativity; (2) originality; (3) overall appearance; (4) quality and completeness of description. Contest Sponser in its sole and absolute discretion will judge entries for the best cake directions and description using only the fourth (4th) criteria listed above. Winners will be notified no later than April 15, 2010 via e-mail. Since e-mail will be the mode of notifying the winners, any entries submitted without an e-mail address will be ineligble to receive prizes. If the selected winners are unreachable, ineligible, or fail to respond within seven (7) days, the winners will forfeit their prizes and the runner-ups will be contacted. It is the responsibility of the entrant to whitelist Contest Sponser's e-mail address. Contest Sponser is not responsible for undelivered e-mails or delayed receipt of e-mails by winners. If a winner fails to respond to Contest Sponser's e-mail notification with the required information for any reason whatsoever within seven (7) days of the date of the e-mail notification, the winners will forfeit their prizes and runner-ups will be contacted.
By submitting an entry, entrants indicate acceptance of these Official Contest Rules and irrevocably grant Contest Sponser (i) all rights in the entry including the rights to publish, use, edit and/or modify such entry in any way it deems appropriate; (ii) the unconditional right to use such entry in any media, without limitation and without consideration or acknowledgement to the entrant; (iii) the unconditional right to use submitted photographs and descriptions and/or other entry materials in whatever form submitted for promotional or advertising purposes and without compensation. The winners will be required to consent to the use of their first and last names, state or province, country, and/or prize information, without limitation for promotional purposes and without further compensation. Contest Sponser shall have no obligation to publish or display each entry submitted.
By submitting an entry, entrants release Contest Sponser from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with this contest or any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, or rights of publicity or privacy). Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules, which are final and binding in all respects.
These Official contest Rules constitute the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter addressed here and may not be altered except by a written document signed both by qualified representatives of Contest Sponser and the entrant. To the maximum extent permitted by law, contest sponser reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time.
