Panda and Flower Cake

To make this panda cake, I made a chocolate cake using a mix and made according to directions. I used the flower shaped pan.2 layers.
I also used part of a yellow cake mix for the small bear.

Let cool completely. Then using buttercream I iced between layers. I cut a small circle of cardboard to go under the bear.

I secured the bear with 2 skewers that went completely thru the cardboard to the bottom of the cake.

I iced the bear with tips 16 and 3, in black and white.

I used tip # 32 to cover the cake in green and pink because I was in a hurry. :}

I used the pre-made letters to spell Happy Birthday Christine.

My cousin called this afternoon and asked me to 'come up with something' for her friend. Now, on to deliver it!
