Patrick Cake
From a large round cake pan I made this Patrick cake.
First I cut out and stenciled Patrick's body and details with a toothpick. Then with buttercream icing, I used rose icing coloring to make the color for Patrick's body. I then iced the sides with a spatula then with a writing tip I outlined the details on the cake with black icing.
Starting with the eyes I used a writing tip for the pupils and a star tip for the remainder of the eye.
Mixing green and yellow in one bowl for the shorts, and purple icing coloring for the detail on the shorts. I used a writing tip for the hibiscus flowers on patrick's shorts and then with a star tip again piped with the rose color patrick's body and with the lime green color, I piped out with the star tip still the shorts.
Using a mixture of colors for Patrick's rock I then piped with a star tip the bottom of the cake. It was a big hit at my nephews' birthday.
