Captain Hook Larry Pirate Cake

Captain Hook Larry Pirate Cake

To make this pirate cake, I made a confetti cake with two layers in square pans that were eight inches. I made one round strawberry cake with a six inch pan. I made my fondant and also butter cream frosting. I frosted the square ones with buttercream and then covered it with green fondant.

I then buttercreamed the round pan and covered it with flesh fondant, made with pink and yellow colors mixed together. I rolled out the bandanna and added a few black cut outs to roll into it. I made the eye and beard and the rest of the features on the face.

I made swords to put around the square cake and used some shiny coins that had bubble gum in them. He was named after my island son...so much fun and a stress free project for me...Nancy of CA
