How To Make This Power Ranger Cake

Easy instructions for making a power ranger cake:

Bake a sheet cake the size that you will need.

Cut 1/8 inch deep line down the center of the cake width wise.

On the side that you will be putting your power ranger figure on, cut the cake out from the 1/8 inch cut slanting it up towards the top edge.

Ice the cake with white icing using a cake spatula making sure the surface is smooth.

Let it stand for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Round the edges of the cake top.

Using a red food color spray (also known as color mist), and a yellow color food spray, spray the entire cake surface. This will make a red orange color. Let it dry completely.

With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the power ranger on the top cake half.

You will be using the star tip size #18 to do all of the fill in work on the birthday cake and the round tip, size #5 to do all of the outline work.

First fill in all of the red areas on his head and shirt.

Next fill in the orange areas on his head and shirt.

Use royal blue icing for the blue head areas.

Next, fill in the arms and neck with gray icing.

Use black icing and outline the entire power ranger using the picture for reference for all of the marking.

Now, change to white icing and using the same size round tip, put the emblem on the front of the shirt, also putting the highlights on the nose, neck and shoulders.

Write the birthday message on the bottom half of the cake.
