Puss In Boots Cake

Puss In Boots Cake

I made this Puss in Boots cake for my nephew's 2nd birthday because he loves Puss from the movie Shrek. I used a round cake for the head, another round cake for the hat (with a cupcake on top) and a loaf cake for the boots.

I iced it with normal butter icing. The round cake for the head was cut out to give him ears and the piece that was cut off was used for the tail & paws.

The challenging part was his eyes because I knew that it's his eyes that will make him Puss in Boots! I used dark chocolate for the eyes. I melted it & spread it out on grease-proof paper to set. When set I simply cut the eye shapes out & placed them on the cake.
