Thanks Nancy & Kelly! Yes, he was very proud of his cake. He kept saying, "that is SO cool mom!". And I have to say I was VERY proud of myself too. I didn't think I could do something like that - but I think it turned out awesome! The white wall wheels were my husband's idea - and what a great idea it was. My daughter is allergic to Red Dye #40 so I was limited on the color theme. Blue & white looked good....especially with the chocolate frosted "white wall" wheels. :-) I do have to give credit for the general idea to someone online because I did see this when searching online & ebay. However, it was funny that the skating rink had never seen a cake like this! They too were very impressed!
