Spiderman Cake

This Spiderman cake is very simple to do, no carving, no cutting, it just needs some patience to decorate it!!!

For the base I used a 23cm chocolate cake and for spiderman's face I baked a cake in an "easter egg stainless steel mould" ..this gave me the perfect oval shape.

After baking the cakes I started to shape the spider. This was made from black pastilage, and let it to set while I continued with the cakes.

I filled and spread the cakes with cream and covered the large cake and the board in blue sugarpaste and the face in bright red.

For the web effect, I used the sugar gun to achieve the perfect strips and than attached them on its face one by one piece by piece using only a toothpick to put them in place.

After that I included some other decorations to the cake and sprinkled some edible silver gliters. Is that easy!? it is belive me!!
