Make a Lucky Shamrock Cake For St. Patrick's Day

Easy directions for making this shamrock cake:

Bake the size sheet cake that you need.

With an icing filled bag and round tip, size #5, draw the shape of the shamrock and banner on the top of the cake.

Cut the cake away from your shape.

You will be using the star tip, size #18 to do all of the fill in work and the round tip, size #7 to do all of the outline work.

Using a dark green icing , outline the shamrock.

shamrock cakeOutline the banner with white icing. Use a bright yellow icing to write "Lucky" and the round tip, size #7.

Now sprinkle some yellow edible glitter over the word "Lucky." Now, using white icing and the star tip, fill in the banner.

I then sprinkled along the inside outline of the banner edible gold powder.

Finally fill in the shamrock with a kelly green icing.

Now you have a shamrock cake that can be used for St. Patrick's day or to celebrate the luck of the Irish!
