Sponge Bob cake

by Debra

There is a really awesome Sponge Bob cake on this website, of him sitting up (3D). (Search Sponge Bob sitting). I am going to attempt making this cake for my son this weekend. The question I have is, what do you think is the best way to support this cake to stand up? There were no directions so I can imagine. . . any ideas or suggestions? I was thinking wooden dowels attached to the bottom piece where Sponge Bob would be sitting.

P.S. I have an awesome fire truck cake that I made for my son's 3rd bday so I will have to submit it! Everyone still talks about that party!

Hi Deb, I think I would bake two loaf pans and use dowels to connect them, one on top of the other and that should work. Good luck Nancy of Ca
