Michael and Julie's Wedding Rehearsal Cake

To make this football themed cake, I just used 2 box cake mixes and made them by the directions on the box. I used homemade icing.

The recipe for the icing is One 2 lb bag of confectioners sugar, 1 cup Crisco (1 Crisco stick), 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp unflavored vanilla, a dash of salt. Using Red and Blue coloring mix icing and 2 separate bowls and set aside.

Spread white icing over cake, then use the colored icing for the borders and the writing. The Jerseys and the Helmets are salt and pepper shakers.

I thought your cake was very creative! I would like to do a House Divided College Wreath. Have you seen any pictures of one. Not sure how to get started.
