Thomas the Tank Engine Birthday Cake

This Thomas the Tank Engine birthday cake was very time consuming to make. I made a large slab cake and bought a swiss roll. I cut the slab cake to the base size I needed. I then put the swiss roll on the front for the rounded part and cut another square from the slab cake for the back drivers compartment.

I cut 2 smaller oblongs for the sides of the rounded front (hope that makes sense) I covered the lot in buttercream and put in the freezer for a few hours to harden.

I then covered the diff parts in the color I needed with roll out regal ice.

I did the face last by copying a picture off the internet then stuck it on the front.
