40th Birthday Cake

This two layer 40th birthday cake was made with a 10 and 8 inch pan. I made a wedding white cake recipe with almond flavoring and decorated the bottom layer with with kelly green buttercreme. The stars on top were made out of a candy mold. I like to make my cakes all edible if I am only using buttrcreme frosting.

The layers were stacked with dowel rods. It served about 60 people. The client said it was tasty and it was just enough she had two slices left over.

Thanks

Love it!

I loved that cake and the colors you did. Are the stars that are sticking into the cake candy also? That is so cool. Glad to see one of our cakes again on this site. Good work again. Best to you, Nancy of CA
