Mom's 86th Birthday Cake
I made this two tier cake for my Mom's 86th birthday. I baked two 10" round yellow cakes and two 8" almond cakes. I filled both with strawberry fruit/buttercream. I applied one cover of buttercream and covered them in fondant.
I applied some lace and bows cutouts (bought the cutters on the internet) and using the braid former made the braided fondant borders.
On top I placed some gum paste roses that I had from a previous cake and some stars picks that bought at the party store.
