35 Ford Cake

35 Ford Cake

Baked a cake in a 3D wilton car pan. It was a carrot cake. I cut in in half and filled it with cream cheese filling. I frosted it with butter cream and covered it with black fondant. I made a grill and lights with fondant also. I made a pan of sugar, water and corn syrup and boiled it to 300 degrees to a crack stage.

I then made a few drops for the lights and poured some on buttered foil marked like the windows. When hard I attached them to the cake with piping gel. I sprayed the cake when done with pam to shine.

I needed color so I did some grass and little flowers. This is for a man's birthday that has an (old 35 Ford) Car. I tried to make it similar to his car. I did the grass with butter cream and the flowers with fondant. Nancy from Rialto CA
