Boops cake

by Mildred Delgado

For this cake I used 4 cups of yellow batter in two 9" circle cake molds. I cut about two inches of the circle to make the waist. I cut one inch of both sides of one circle to make the hips. I cut a heart shape on the other circle to make the cleavage.

I used flesh color icing to cover her body. I used red color icing to make the bottom part of the bikini. For the boops, so they would jiggle, I made them out of Lemon Jell'o flavor and I cover them with flesh color icing.( I learned not to ever do that again) I place one Hershey's kisses on each boop as nipples.

I made the Jell'o with less water so it will be firmer than regular Jell'o but not as hard as Jell'o Jigglers. To me, the actual recipe for the Jell'o Jigglers was too hard and it didn't jiggled as much as I wanted it to.

I created the effect that I wanted with the Jell'o, but I will never use it again. This was a rum cake, so it had to be refrigerated and to cover the cold boops with Jell'o icing was so hard, It kept coming off and it was leaking the next day, even though was in the fridge.

So I could not smooth it the way I wanted to. It was quite a challenge, thanks God that the cake was for my son's 21st birthday party. It was a total hit, everyone loved it.
