Hi, if it is decorated with buttercream and froze it will last a long time, just be sure to cover or wrap it. I am still eating from my chocolate birthday cake from January for my birthday. It is in the freezer and I take out a slice at a time and it's just as fresh and moist as can be. Fondant should not be frozen, although I have froze one and had it covered well and it was fine also. If you are leaving it out it might or might not stay fresh. But if you decorate it and freeze it it will be fine.
