Coloring Butter Cream

by Suzanne Hindle
(Sri Lanka)

I use butter to make the butter cream which is light cream in colour. I find it difficult to get the colouring right. For instance I needed a pastel blue, and on putting the blue colouring into the butter cream, I ended up with a sea green colouring. This I guess is because of the colour of the butter. How do I get the colours right using butter.

Also, can you give me an idea to decorate a square cake for a male adult

I would find out what the man is interested in and decide from there.

Can you not get shortening? The colors are better when you use white shortening.

Chose a white cow butter would not affect the color. As for the adult men can build a garden with a heart in the middle or a foot ball!
Ηopes to help!

SOME OF THE BLUES HAVE A LOT OF GREEN IN THEM. TRY A DARK BLUE AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TO ADD A TOUCH OF BLACK. HOPE THIS HELPS...NANCY OF CA
