Construction Yard Cake

This was made for my sons 5th birthday. He really likes to play with all the road constructing machines, so I made this cake for him. This is butter cake, colored with green. I used one circle and one rectangle butter cake. It's a 3kg cake. First I covered the cakes with white butter cream icing.

Then I used green fondant icing to decorate the cake and the grass is done by green butter cream icing. I used the grass tip to do the grassy part of the cake.

I used orange, yellow, red and black fondant to make all the little constructing machines. Also I used five butter cup cakes to fix the candles and decorated them with red butter cream icing.

I got some machine candles too. My son really loved the cake, and he enjoyed that too.
