Dying Marshmallows

by Tara

I saw a cake that had marshmallows on it that were painted grey to resemble rocks. What would I use to get them that color?

You could always get some white candy melts and add a touch of black color and then dip the marshmallows in them to get gray ones.

I have used food color and a [clean] paint brush before on fondant..... you might try that and set it under a fan and see if it will dry. I'm not sure it will dry very well. Try it days in advance in case it doesn't work and you have to try something else.
I also did a cake with 'rocks' ... I found chocolate candy rocks at Walmart and at the candy store.
