Guitar Birthday Cake
To make this guitar birthday cake, I used 3 cups all purpose flour, a cup milk, 1/2 cup veg oil, 1/2 lb butter, 2 teas. vanilla, 2 - 3 eggs. Beat with mixer 2 minutes. Flour and butter 12x16 baking dish and bake for 45 minutes at 200 degrees. Toothpick test it.
Icing mix : 2 lbs convections sugar, 1 teaspoon almond extract and food coloring. I ran out of food coloring so my guitar came out pinkish but it was late at night and we were all tired so we just left it. My son George did the decoration and he did a great job as you can see by the picture.
The cake was outrageous and delicious and a good time was had by all. And of course the leftovers went home with each young man.
