Gift Box Cake

To make this gift box cake, I baked two eight inch square red velvet cakes and trimmed them to six inches each way. I filled it with a Twinkie filling and butter creamed it. When dry, I put the purple fondant on and did the top a darker color.

I made the bow a couple of days ago to dry. I made a couple of little rolled roses. I painted the bow with luster dust - a white satin.

I never made a gift box and was not too familiar in putting the fondant on the corners. Not a real good job, but practice makes perfect. I do have to practice. LOL Nancy from Cal.
