Halloween Skull Cake - Dia De Los Muertos Cake

To make this Halloween skull cake, I used a pound cake box mix. I used the Wilton 3D skull pan. I baked the cake according to directions. Let cool. Trimmed the top of cake so as to fit securely with Wilton decorator icing, the front and back of skull.
Then piped white stars all around with a number 18 tip. Then pipped yellow stars for teeth all also with Wilton decorator icing tip number 16. Finally filled eye socks, nose and missing teeth area with Wilton black sparkle gel.
Enjoy at a scarey Halloween Party or celebrate the Dia De Los Muertos. Level of difficulty beginners to intermediate.
