How do I get a flat sheet cake and not one with a hill in the middle of it?

FLATTEN

HI, I SOMETIMES TAKE MY CAKE OUT AND IF IT HAS RISEN MORE IN THE MIDDLE, I JUST GET A CLEAN DISH TOWEL AND PUT IT OVER AND GENTLY PRESS DOWN TO FLATTEN IT. IT WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME...BUT BE SURE TO DO IT WHILE THE CAKE IS STILL REAL WARM. NANCY OF CA

I found this suggestion on another site and have used it ever since!

Use your flower nails! I spray mine with the cooking spray then put them in the pan, then pour the prepared mix over them.

For a 9" x 13" pan I use 2 or 3 nails.

It really makes a difference!
