How much fondant would I need to cover a Normal sized star cake?

by Emily
(New York)

I want to make a star cake, and cover it with yellow fondant, the fondant I'm looking at is sold at 2lbs 5lbs or 10lbs and I have no clue which to buy! The dimensions of the cake are 3/4 by 12 and 3/4 by 1 7/8. I know they are such awkward dimensions and I really don't know what to do. Please help!
