How to stack a wedding cake using clear perspex boxes

by Helena Cox
(Somerset, England)

Hi my daughter would like a 3 tier wedding cake, each tier seperated by a clear perspex box. I have managed to purchase the perspex boxes but have no idea on how to assemble. Do I need dowels on each tier to support the boxes etc. Please can anyone help as my daughters wedding is in 4 weeks time. Thank you.

Yes of course you need dowls to support your cake, each cake should be placed on card board and you have to add the dowels at the lower layer to avoid the cake on the top to sink.
