I have a birthday cake ordered for the 24th of April. I have made a fruit cake. Can I marzipan it now or do I have to wait until near the date? Thank You Irene Ann

Hi there,
Yes you may and you must. First of all, sprinkle the cake with brandy and the following day, brush with a smooth apricot jam (boiled with a bit of water)and cover with the Marzipan. When you decide to cover with the Fondant, just brush it with cooled boiled water and and apply the Fondant. I hope I have been of some help.
