Jewelry Box Cake

For this jewelry box cake, I baked an 8 inch chocolate cake and filled it with chocolate buttercream. I crumbcoated the cake and put white fondant on it and then cut out triangle of green fondant and used a fondant press to press out the designs.

Before hand, I made a jewelry box by cutting out two hear shaped gum paste with a cookie cutter. I cut a strip to put around the heart and the other heart is the top of the box.

You can make a round one or whatever shape of cutter you may have on hand. I made some pearls to hang on the outside of it.

With leftover fondant I made beads to put around the bottom of the cake.

This is for a bingo pals birthday. Nancy of CA
